In The Beginning
At the beginning of Surface 71, we applied to Philanthropy Tank to help fundraise for this project. Watch this video to get an inside view into our application!

Meet Esmeralda: An Ongoing Project
Esmeralda and her friends Harry the Hammerhead and Danny the Angler Fish are Surface 71’s sculptures made out of trash from our ecosystem! In the past, they’ve been to the South Florida Science Center, the Palm Beach County History Museum, and Loggerhead Marine Life Center.

Emily is a senior at the University of Central Florida and co-founded Surface 71 in 2018 while in middle school. She loves any activity where she can showcase her creative skills such as sewing, baking or drawing. She is passionate about community outreach and service projects.

Lyra is at A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. She hopes to continue the mission of supporting clean water access in the Palm Beaches. She loves being outside paddle boarding, running, or planning her next hiking trip.
