In The Beginning
At the beginning of Surface 71, we applied to Philanthropy Tank to help fundraise for this project. Watch this video to get an inside view into our application!

Meet Esmeralda: An Ongoing Project
Esmeralda and her friends Harry the Hammerhead and Danny the Angler Fish are Surface 71’s sculptures made out of trash from our ecosystem! In the past, they’ve been to the South Florida Science Center, the Palm Beach County History Museum, and Loggerhead Marine Life Center.

Emily is a senior at the University of Central Florida and co-founded Surface 71 in 2018 while in middle school. She loves any activity where she can showcase her creative skills such as sewing, baking or drawing. She is passionate about community outreach and service projects.

Jemma is a a senior at University of San Diego and has been working with Surface 71 since middle school. She loves surfing, working, and going on a boat for any reason really!

Natalie is a senior at Suncoast High School in the IB program. She joined Surface 71 in an effort to raise awareness about water stations and reducing plastic water bottles. Natalie likes to sail and go to the beach.
